Pittsburgh’s IHEART Media Radio Personalities Brave The Cold For Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign

 

On-air Talent from 3WS, WDVE, 105.9 The X, 96.1 KISS, and BIG 104.7 Country Ring Bells And Collect Donations at The Market District Giant Eagle at Settler’s Ridge the week of December 5th

Pittsburgh, PA, December 5th:  Just as the weather is starting to turn colder, the iHeart Media Radio Red Kettle Christmas Campaign for The Salvation Army kicks offs this week.   Radio personalities Mike Frazer, Jonny Hartwell and Sheri Van Dyke from 3WS; Carson, JD Greene, Travis and Craig from BIG Country; Scottro, Tall Cathy and Mikey & Bob from 96.1 KISS; Val Porter, Michele Michaels, Sean McDowell and Mike Steele from DVE; and Whip, Bob McLaughlin and Stacy Walter from 105.9 The X will all take their turns ringing bells beside those familiar Salvation Army Red Christmas Kettles at the Market District Giant Eagle, located at 100 Settlers Ridge Center Drive in The Settler’s Ridge Shopping Plaza in Pittsburgh.  

WWSW (3WS Radio) has been partnering with The Salvation Army on The Red Kettle Christmas Campaign for many years, doing live remote broadcasts from shopping malls with local celebrities stopping by to encourage support of The Salvation Army.  This year, the campaign has expanded to include participation from other stations within Pittsburgh’s iHeart Media group.   In addition to celebrity bell ringers this week, the radio stations are also promoting giving online to their Red Kettle Christmas Campaign.   Links to the online kettles can be found by visiting each station’s individual website, or you can give to the campaign at http://igfn.us/vf/IHEARTGIVES or by texting “IHEARTGIVES”to 71777 for a link to an online donation form enabling you to give any amount of your choice via a secure website.  

The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign is aiming to raise over 2.8 million dollars this year throughout its service area.  Contributions raised through this campaign provide assistance for those in need not only during the Christmas Season, but well into the new year.
